This is a little late in being posted, sorry!
Over the past couple of weeks, students have been exploring the connections across texts from the genre of tragedy. We have looked at a range of different eras and styles with the core connecting feature: the tragic hero.
Citizen Kane allowed us to begin exploring the world of 20th Century American literature which frequently present protagonists resembling the tragic hero. The class spent several periods discussing the points on the slides below. They were asked to prepare for this discussion (using the target questions) in advance so that they could actively contribute to the conversation.
